How Runtime Hex Builds Characters.
A good character needs more than a biography, a beautiful image, and an opening crisis. Those things may earn a first message. They don’t automatically earn a return.
Runtime Hex designs for the relationship after the premise: what the character wants, what they fear, what they misunderstand, what they can change, and where the player has meaningful room to affect the outcome. The strongest Kindroids don’t merely perform their lore. They create a playable ecosystem capable of tenderness, conflict, surprise, routine, and consequence.
Craftsmanship makes attachment easier to experience. It doesn’t create it. The player and the character still have to do that part together.
That is the Character Lab.
We make what comes next.
